Sex/Life TV Show on Netflix: canceled or renewed?

Sex/Life will not return for a third season. Netflix has cancelled the drams series a month after the release of its second season on the streaming service.

Starring Sarah Shahi, Margaret Odette, Mike Vogel, Adam Demos, Cleo Anthony, and Darius Homayoun, the series was created by  Stacy Rukeyseris and was inspired by the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton. The story follows a wife and mother of two named Billie (Shahi) who misses her exciting life before she was married and living in the suburbs.

Per Deadline, Netflix revealed that “the second season brought the series to a natural close, wrapping up the storylines for key characters whose relationships come to a happy conclusion, adding the streamer is proud of the show and the work put into it by producers, cast and crew.”

The cancellation is not a surprise, given that Shahi has signed on to star in the Judgment pilot for ABC. If the pilot is ordered to series, she would have still been able to make a third season of Sex/Life, but production of the Netflix series would have had to work around her Judgement schedule.

What do you think? Did you want a third season of Sex/Life on Netflix? Or did it come to a natural conclusion, as the streaming service said?
