UPDATED: “Evil has taken over our town.” Peacock has dropped the official trailer for Hysteria!, which sees a town in the grip of a “Satanic Panic” in the 1980s. Julie Bowen and Evil Dead’s Bruce Campbell star in the pop-horror series, which premieres with all eight episode on October 18 on the streamer. USA Network and Syfy will simulcast the first episode on October 18, with USA Network airing episodes each Friday.

Written and executive produced by Matthew Scott Kane, Hysteria! is set during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s when a beloved varsity quarterback disappears, it follows a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal ban. But when a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt, it leads directly back to them.
