‘General Hospital’ Casts Giovanni Mazza As Brook Lynn’s Cousin

EXCLUSIVE: A new player — both literally and figuratively — is about to show up at the wedding of Harrison (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton).

Giovanni Mazza is joining the cast as Giovanni Cerullo, a cousin of Brook Lynn who will play the violin at the nuptials that are set to occur the week of May 13.

In real life, the Chicago-based Mazza has performed the violin at several NBA events and on TV shows. He started acting professionally at the age of 8, when he appeared in a two-year Walmart commercial campaign, as well as in Chicago-based independent films.

At age 10, Mazza made his TV debut in a small speaking role on Nickelodeon’s Bella and the Bulldogs. He currently attends high school in Chicago and is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Italy.

Typically, GH boosts its teen cast during the summer when youths are out of school.

General Hospital, which won the top prize at the 2023 Daytime Emmys, airs weekdays on ABC. The sudser garnered 11 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, for the 2024 Daytime Emmys set for June 7 on CBS and Paramount+.
