‘Shadow And Bone’ Season 2: Netflix Drops New Teaser Featuring New Characters

Netflix has dropped a teaser for Shadow and Bone Season 2 that gives fans a look into the season ahead. The streaming platform released the preview clip as part of the announcements during the global fan event Tudum. You can watch the first look in the video above.

The Shadow and Bone teaser opens up with Patrick Gibson in the role of Nikolai Lantsov telling Jessie Mei Li’s character, “You’re a symbol.” Alina Starkov clears things up adding, “I’m a Sun Summoner.” Viewers that watched the first season know that Alina went into hiding with Mal (Archie Renaux) after the events of the first season.

Shadow and Bone is set in a war-torn world where lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov (Mei) has just unleashed an extraordinary power that could be the key to setting her country free. With the monstrous threat of the Shadow Fold looming, Alina is torn from everything she knows to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as Grisha. But as she struggles to hone her power, she finds that allies and enemies can be one and the same and that nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. There are dangerous forces at play, including a crew of charismatic criminals, and it will take more than magic to survive.

Season 2 of the Netflix series will also see new faces including Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat), Anna Leong Brophy (Traces) and Jack Wolfe (The Witcher), who will be joined by returning actors like Freddy Carter, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Ben Barnes, Danielle Galligan and Calahan Skogman.

Shadow and Bone Season 2 will drop in 2023 on Netflix.
