Lumon Industries employs several thousand workers across the world of Apple TV+’s Severance, created by Dan Erickson and executive produced by Ben Stiller, Adam Scott and more.
The catch at Lumon is a surgical procedure called Severance, which aims to create a better work life balance by splitting the work employee into an inner self that works at Lumon and an outer self that spends all of its time away from Lumon.

Mark Scout (Adam Scott)
Mark S. was thrust into a leadership position last season when his superior Petey Kilmer (Yul Vazquez) unexpectedly left the severed floor of Lumon Industries. Mark now manages Macrodata Refinement. He underwent the severance procedure because his wife died in a car accident.
Adam Scott is known for playing Ben Wyatt in Parks and Recreation, Henry Pollard in Party Down, Derek in Step Brothers (2008) and more recently, Ben Parker in Madame Web (2024) as well as John Novak in Apple’s Loot.

Helly Riggs (Britt Lower)
Helly R. made quite a fuss when she first joined MDR as the newly severed refiner. She made multiple attempts to quit the job in Season 1, but the end of the first season revealed a big point about her outtie’s true identity. She is severed.
Britt Lower is known for playing Liz in Man Seeking Woman, Sarah Finn in Casual, Celeste Jones in Mr. Roosevelt and Lee in High Maintenance.

Seth Milchick (Tramell Tillman)
Mr. Milchick leads orientation for new hires at Lumon, and he works on the Severed Floord despite not being severed himself. He had to deal with a lot of shenanigans last season in addition to answering to the beck and call of Ms. Cobel, who was his boss in Season 1.
Tramell Tillman played Felix in Barron’s Cove (2024) and Detective Ocasio in Elementary. He also voiced Double-Tap in Hit-Monkey, and most recently he appeared in the Max original movie Sweethearts (2024) as Coach Reese.

Dylan George (Zach Cherry)
Dylan G. is probably the fastest refiner of the group. He also has the most prizes for completing his work in an orderly and efficient manner, like finger traps and more. He is severed.
Zach Cherry appeared in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) as Klev, an early episode of Succession as Brian, Fallout as Woody Thomas and in You Hurt My Feelings (2023) as Jim.

Irving Bailiff (John Turturro)
Irv is the other most senior refiner in MDR, and he has the rulebook for Lumon and all the principles of Kier memorized. He appreciates the work culture that Lumon has cultivated. Irv also fell in love with Burt G of the Optics and Design department last season. He is severed.
John Turturro is known for playing Barton Fink in Barton Fink (1991), Herbie Stempel in Quiz Show (1994) and Ray Brocco in The Good Shepherd (2006). Most recently, he has appeared as Carmine Falcone in The Batman (2022), Eric Shane in Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith as well as Damian in The Room Next Door (2024).

Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette)
Ms. Cobel is the boss of the Lumon Severed Floor, but she answers to The mysterious Board. She also operated last season as Mark’s neighbor Mrs. Selvig outside of Lumon. She is unsevered.
Patricia Arquette is known for playing Alabama Whitman in True Romance (1993), Frankie Paige in Stigmata (1999) and Olivia in Boyhood (2014). She also played Allison Dubois in Medium, and she portrayed DeeDee Blanchard in The Act (2019).

Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman)
Ms. Casey was the Wellness Counselor at Lumon last season. She also has an identity that isn’t fully revealed until the end of Season 1 of Severance.
Dichen Lachman has played Soyona Santos in Jurassic World Dominion (2022), Korina in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024), Jiayang in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Anya in The 100. She has also made appearances in Supergirl, Shameless and other TV shows.

Burt Goodman (Christopher Walken) [Left]
Burt G. was the head of O&D at Lumon until he retired last season, but the terms of his retirement were ambiguous. He and Irv kindled a romantic spark in Season 1.
Christopher Walken won an Oscar for his supporting role of Nick in The Deer Hunter (1978). He was also nominated for an Oscar for his role of Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can (2002). Other big roles include Gabriel in The Prophecy (1995), Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray (2007), and more recently Tony Reilly in Wild Mountain Thyme (2020) and the Emperor in Dune: Part Two (2024).

Devon Scout-Hale (Jen Tullock)
Devon is Mark’s sister, and she gave birth to baby girl Eleanor last season. She is also married to philosopher and author Ricken Hale.
Jen Tullock appeared as Jackie Gurner in Before You Know It (2019), Wendy in Spirited (2022), Anita St. Pierre in Perry Mason and as herself in Cora Bora (2023).

Ricken Hale (Michael Chernus)
Ricken Hale is a philosopher and author known for his books. He is also Devon’s husband and father to Eleanor.
Michael Chernus is known for playing Edward Tavner in Patriot, Tom in Dead Ringers and Phineas Mason in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2018). He can also be spotted as Theodore Bikel in A Complete Unknown (2024) and as Mr. Dimming in Out of My Mind (2024).
