Tensions have been frequently leaked from the production of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on the eve of its fourteenth season debut, and now People Magazine reports an exclusive from an insider claiming the traditional reunion show for the cast has been canned.
People, which has long had close connections to the show, quoted on Saturday their source saying: “A reunion is meant to have resolution and it’s clear in the season final that there is no path forward in that type of setting.
“So the network is figuring out a different concept to wrap up the season.”
If the reunion show doesn’t go ahead, it will be the first time in the show’s history. However, there has long been reported tension between the cast members, with BravoCon hosting split panels dividing them for the past two years.
“Housewives” on the show include Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler. Trailers for the new season have depicted the continuing feud between Giudice and Fuda and her husband. Aydin and Cabral were also reportedly suspended from filming in 2023 following an on-set altercation.
RHONJ was the fourth instalment in the Real Housewives franchise, and remains one of its most successful. It premiered on May 5, 2009, and airs on Bravo every Sunday, available to stream on Peacock the following day. RHONJ has had two spin-off shows Manzo’d with Children and Teresa Checks In.
