Johnny Wactor Dies: ‘General Hospital’ & ‘Siberia Actor’ Was 37

Johnny Wactor, a General Hospital actor, has died. He was 37.

A law enforcement source says three suspects were trying to steal the catalytic converter from Wactor’s vehicle. When he confronted them, the suspects shot him and fled the scene. Wactor was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The three suspects remain at large.

The actor and producer’s mother told TMZ he was shot and killed on Saturday morning after three men were messing with his car.

Wactor appeared in the ABC daytime soap between 2020 and 2022, playing Brando Corbin’s role. Brando joined the show and turned out to be Gladys’s (Bonnie Burrough) son, previously thought dead. Wactor’s character married Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and ultimately died when he was stabbed by The Hook.

In television, Wactor appeared in shows like Army Wives (2007), Siberia (2013), Agent X (2015), Vantastic (2016), Animal Kingdom (2016), Hollywood Girl (2010), Training Day (2017), Criminal Minds (2017), Struggling Servers (2017), Age Appropriate (2017), NCIS (2019), The OA (2019), Westworld (2020), The Passenger (2020), Station 19 (2023), and Barbee Rehan (2023).

Wactor’s film credits include playing Connor in 2016’s USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, which starred Nicolas Cage and Tom Sizemore. Other films include Sisters of the Groom, Disillusioned, and Cold Soldiers. His most recent film was Dead Talk Tales: Volume I, released this year, in which he played Marcus.
