Former BBC Studios drama boss Priscilla Parish has headed in the opposite direction to Zai Bennett.
Parish has joined Sky Studios as Senior Executive Producer in the scripted team, coming soon after it was revealed Bennett is leaving Sky to head up BBC Studios Productions.
Parish headed up drama for BBC studios for several years, during which she executive produced BBC Three’s recent Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story, series two of the award-winning prison drama, Time, thriller We Hunt Together for UKTV and Showtime, and the long-running Silent Witness. She left last year and was replaced by Kate Oates. She used to work for Line of Duty producer World Productions.
Parish, who joins the Sky Studios team in August, will report to Meghan Lyvers, Director of Original Series. She will work alongside indies as well as Sky’s production team to oversee the creation and delivery of upcoming Sky Original titles, which include the likes of The Day of the Jackal and Nick Cave adaptation The Death of Bunny Munro.
Lyvers said: “Priscilla brings a wealth of experience to this role at a very exciting time for us, as we look to launch some of our most ambitious original shows to date, with even more on the horizon. She’s the perfect fit to bolster our scripted team and we all can’t wait to work with her”
Parish added: “Sky Studios has made a name for releasing big, bold and ambitious dramas. I’m thrilled to be joining the drama team at this exciting time, it’s a place brimming with possibilities and I can’t wait to get stuck in”
