Emmy Winner: ‘Beef’ For Directing For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or TV Movie

TV

Tonight’s the night — finally.

The 75th anniversary Primetime Emmy Awards are being handed out at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles after a nearly four-month delay due to the Hollywood strikes, and Deadline is posting the winners in 26 categories live as they are announced. See the list so far below, and follow our live blog here.

The Emmys definitely are a Bear market thus far. Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach continued their awards-season rolls tonight, winning Best Actor and Supporting Actor, respectively. The show’s Ayo Edebiri took the first award of the night, following up her Golden Globes win as Supporting Actress, and The Bear also has won for Directing and Writing in a Comedy Series.

The FX comedy’s first season is competing tonight because of the Hollywood strikes delaying the Emmys. Both won Golden Globe Awards last week for the show’s second season.

Jennifer Coolidge snagged her second consecutive Emmy for HBO’s The White Lotus, this time as Supporting Actress in a Drama Series versus Limited Series last year. Matthew Macfadyen of HBO’s Succession also went back-to-back in the Supporting Actor in a Drama category.

Niecy Nash-Betts took home the Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Netflix’s Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

RuPaul’s Drag Race won its fifth consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and its host RuPaul Charles is the most-awarded host in Emmys history with eight, including at the Creative Arts ceremony last week.

HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver repeated for Outstanding Scripted Variety Series and also won its eighth consecutive Emmy for Writing for a Variety Series. And Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah took Outstanding Talk Series, with ex-host Trevor Noah accepting.

Thus far, FX is leading with its five Emmys for The Bear, and HBO with four is the only multiple Emmy-winning network.
