‘Ugly Betty’s Eric Mabius Arrested For Battery In N.Y.

Eric Mabius has been arrested for alleged battery in Nassau County, New York.

The Ugly Betty actor was arrested just after 2am in the early hours of Thursday morning before he was booked at Nassau County Jail and Detention Center at 5:45am on two misdemeanor charges.

He’s facing a battery charge and resisting arrest without violence, both misdemeanors for which he is awaiting trial. In a mugshot, Mabius sports a black eye.

Mabius is known for playing Daniel Meade on ABC’s Ugly Betty for its four-season run from 2006 to 2010, as well as his recurring roles on The L Word, The O.C. and Chicago Fire. He also starred as Oliver O’Toole in Hallmark Channel’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered, as well as the subsequent film franchise.

In addition to appearances in films like Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995), Cruel Intentions (1999), The Crow: Salvation (2000) and Resident Evil (2002), Mabius starred in the Hallmark holiday films Welcome to Christmas, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas and Haul Out the Holly.
