EXCLUSIVE: Some of Black Mirror‘s most memorable storylines are to be retold in a series of comic books next year.
Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Black Mirror ancillary rights holder Banijay Entertainment, has struck a deal with Neil Gibson’s UK-based Twisted Comics to create comics based on the dystopian anthology series.
Described as “immersive comic books comprising iconic Black Mirror storylines,” the products will begin rolling out in mid-2025, with pre-release material being made available through a dedicated website earlier in the year.
Black Mirror, which Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones initially created for Channel 4 in the UK and is now on Netflix globally, is gearing up for a seventh season. Many of the darkly satirical storylines are set in alternate realities or near-future worlds and explore how new technologies can spiral out of control.

The likes of Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti), Lewis Gribben, Rashida Jones, Cristin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae (Barbie), Tracee Ellis Ross and Jimmi Simpson will appear in the new season, which will feature a sequel to ‘USS Callister’, one of the series’ most popular episodes. Brooker and Jones’ Broke & Bones is producing the six eps, which launch next year.
Banijay Rights represents a range of ancillary rights for the Black Mirror brand, and its Licensing & Merchandising team struck the deal with Twisted Comics.

Twisted Comics is known for its bestselling Amazon series Twisted Dark, and has previously collaborated with the likes of Universal Pictures for a comic adaptation of Stan Lee’s Lucky Man, the Sky drama that starred James Nesbitt as a police officer with the power to control luck.
