One thing you never want to do on The Ark is poke the bear.
Especially if that bear has implants to augment its strength into the perfect killing machine.
If there has been one wild card amidst Season 2, it has been Kelly and her unpredictable “Post-Human” status. Audiences were introduced to Kelly and her homicidal tendencies in The Ark Season 1, and in Season 2, we’re learning that at the root of Kelly’s violent tendencies are her implants.
Her mother turned her into a controllable killing machine. However, every bit of new information about the experiments that were done on Kelly has brought out her humanity.
She was more than willing to sacrifice her life on multiple occasions to keep herself from hurting anyone else.
Her path seems to be coming to a fork in the road where she will likely have to decide between hunting down her mother or choosing a peaceful, non-violent life.
Still, Kelly has always been a ticking time bomb, and it looks like William Trust (Paul Leonard Murray) has found the detonator.
More to the point, maybe technology belongs in the hands of someone other than the cynical and sarcastic man responsible for creating a deadly disease. I’m just saying.
In an exclusive clip from Syfy for The Ark Season 2 Episode 7, we see that some things are better left untouched. Check out the clip below!
So, as we can see, as much as William Trust would like everyone to think he is the genius he believes himself to be, even smart guys do dumb things.
And poor Eva (Tiana Upcheva). Hasn’t she been through enough? First, her brother dies in space, and then she has to cover the tracks of her spotty past.
However, I mentioned in my review of The Ark Season 2 Episode 6 that something like this might happen.
The crew had forgotten about Kelly, even though the other Cat left Kelly a device to control her implants.
It seems like poor planning to me.
That said, Captain Garnet (Christie Burke) and the rest of the Ark One will be paying attention now.
In the previous episode, Kelly inquired with Dr. Marsh about having her implants removed. The good doctor explained the impossibility of such a procedure.
Well, necessity is the mother of invention, and Kelly (Samantha Glassner) is one mother of a problem now.
Not to mention, she broke the keypad for her room/jail cell, and it’s not like The Ark has room to spare. They just finished repurposing a whole section of another Ark.
The Ark Season 2 Episode 7 looks like it’ll be serving internal drama. Loyalties may be tested, and lines may be drawn. Either way, it’s going to be an intense episode.
And TV Fanatic is going to be right there to review the whole world ride!
How do you think Captain Garnet is going to handle this situation?
What do you think is going to happen to Kelly and Trust?
