Heartstopper EP Patrick Walters has launched a label within See-Saw Films and landed its debut commission, Sky Atlantic’s Sweetpea.

Walters’ fanboy label will make high-end drama and “celebrate unique, underdog perspectives,” according to Power of the Dog producer See-Saw. Fanboy’s TV output will be executive produced by Walters alongside Helen Gregory, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman for See-Saw.

Walters has worked for See-Saw for a decade, producing a number of shows including Netflix smash Heartstopper and Apple TV+’s The Essex Serpent.

“Over the last 10 years at See-Saw, I’ve been lucky enough to develop a variety of stories to screen as limited or returning television series,” he said.

“The constant between these projects has always been the passion, creativity and mutual obsession of their creative teams.”

Fanboy’s first project Sweetpea is adapted by Kirstie Swain from the darkly comic YA novel by CJ Skuse. It is in production in the UK and will launch next year.
